Successful 'Kitchen Party' with Germany's finest chefs and winegrowers

Nearly 300 guests enjoyed culinary highlights with Germany's best celebrity chefs and elite winegrowers until well after midnight.

The starter, a Berlin Pork Knuckle with Kohlrabi, Crayfish and Angostura Vinaigrette was prepared by Kolja Kleeberg ('VAU', Berlin), who later had the opportunity to showcase his musical talent during a performance with the band 'Krüger rockt'.
Alfons Schuhbeck ('Schubecks', Munich) spoiled his guests with a second course of Truffled Pasta with a touch of Vegetables. The fish course came straight from the North Sea - Baked Cod with Tortellini of Seasoned Pork Belly and Braised Chicory - presented by Holger Bodendorf ('Bodendorf's', Sylt). Main courses were offered by Karl Heinz Hauser (Hamburg), who prepared a Variety of Iberico 'Joselito' with Pimientos de Padrón and Artichokes, while host Chef Bernd Siener surprised his guests with Caramelized Breast of Black Feathered Chicken with Gambas and Black Cumin Jus. Strawberries with Butter Cream and Basil by Frank Rosin ('Rosin', Dorsten-Wulfen) made for aƒ sweet finish of this Michelin-star extravaganza.
But there was much more to savor and tempt the palate: four varieties of caviar from 'Caviar House', the best European oysters from 'Rungis Express', dry-cured beef 'Cecina de Leon' with baked capers from 'Bos Food', genuine gorgonzola cheese from Italian delicatessen 'Peck' served from the wooden barrel by I Pecatti, 'Wagyu Kobe Beef' burger with lemon mayonnaise by 'Otto Gourmet', as well as crunchy chocolate fingers à la framboise from 'Valrhona'. Bread specialties were presented by Aalen's bakery 'Mack' and pastry chef Ulrich Timpert of 'Café Rosenpark' delighted guests with a sweet finale.
The accompanying wines were provided by: Dr Carl von Schubert (Schubertsche Gutsverwaltung/Ruwer), Wilhelm Weil (Robert Weil/Rheingau), Gunther Hauck (Bassermann-Jordan/Pfalz), Joachim Heger (Dr. Heger/ Baden), Helmut Dönnhoff (Dönnhoff), Nikolaus Graf von Plettenberg (Schloss Vaux/Rheingau) and Klaus Peter Keller (Klaus Keller/Rheinhessen).
Hubertus Vallendar of the distillery 'Vallendar' offered an exclusive selection of brandies and liquors and Holger Naumman of 'C&T Company Marburg' put forward a selection of Highland Coffees from Brazil, Nicaragua and Ethiopia.

Once again, the classic elegance of VILA VITA Rosenpark's Atrium proved to be a superb backdrop for this extraordinary Kitchen Party. On 19th September 2010 guests will have once again an opportunity to talk with celebrity chefs about the newest food trends or chat in a relaxed ambience with renowned winegrowers about their exquisite wines.
