Culinary awards for VILA VITA Parc

Michelin-star for the Gourmet restaurant 'Ocean' and nomination for 'Winemaker of the Year'

For the past 5 years Chef Hans Neuner has been cooking while enjoying sweeping sea views.
And - as of today - he also works under star-studded skies, since the renowned Michelin guide awarded the 33 year old chef his first Michelin star for his work in the gourmet restaurant 'Ocean' in VILA VITA Parc on the Algarve cost.
Nevertheless, charming Neuner keeps his feet firmly on the ground: 'I would not have achieved this distinction without the help of my team and would love to have a real party to celebrate with all my colleagues. However, we are introducing a new menu today at the 'Ocean' and this means a lot of work for all of us.'

It is also time to celebrate for VILA VITA Parc's very own vineyard 'Herdade dos Grous' in Portugal's Alentejo region. The gourmet magazine 'Der Feinschmecker' has nominated its head oenologist Luis Duarte for the 'Winemaker of the Year' award. Since 2002 Duarte and his team have been cultivating grapes on this 'Country Estate of the Cranes' and are producing exquisite wines.

His unparalleled expertise was rewarded with the title 'Portugal's Winemaker of the Year' in 1996 and 2006 and his 'Herdade dos Grous Reserva 2006' was voted best Portuguese wine by the renowned wine magazine 'Blue Wine'.
